About The Position
Looking for a role where no two days are the same? Merrick, Inc. is looking for two Float Direct Support Professionals. This position will be floating between our two buildings and 8 different departments to build meaningful relationships and make a direct impact with our clients. Our clients range from working with a job coach in the community, to working on work contracts on our Workfloor, to doing daily life enrichment at our Willow Lake location. At Merrick, Inc. , we’re proud to be the largest day program in Ramsey County, supporting over 375 individuals with innovative, person-centered services. Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements (personal & company vehicles)
- Comfortable working across multiple departments and environments
- A positive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
Responsibilities
- Work with assigned clients to meet their daily needs, preferences, and goals
- Train, coach, and support clients in work-related tasks, contracts, or employment settings
- Encourage client participation in meaningful work, activities, and community outings
- Provide redirection and de-escalation during challenging behavioral situations
- Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and meal preparation
- Safely transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment
