About The Position

As a DSP Firmware Engineering Summer Intern, you will work on firmware and software simulations (C/C++ and MATLAB) to develop and evaluate new features and algorithms with MATLAB simulation for automotive radio products. The focus will be on DAB, DRM, and CDR standards. Candidates will be asked to describe their knowledge of communications and signal processing algorithms and show their SW skills.

Requirements

  • Must be Proficient in coding C/C++ and MATLAB.
  • We will only consider MSEE/Ph.D. level Electrical Engineering university students; Ph.D. is a plus.
  • We will only consider university students with Digital Signal Processing and Communication (modem) skills.
  • Understanding of I/Q digital modulations, Fourier transforms, sampling theory, probability, and estimation theory

Nice To Haves

  • HW/SW interaction, RF understanding; OFDM experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior DSP firmware engineers to learn the existing modem simulations
  • Understand how input parameters affect simulation results
  • Refine, design, and implement DSP & communication algorithms
  • Document the results and be able to give a theoretical explanation

Benefits

  • The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour
  • For a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour
  • Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location
