About The Position

Millennial Software is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team. You will be working closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to grow and hone your skills with other talented members at Millennial Software. Our ideal candidate is a DSP Engineer who is a hard-charging self-starter that can come onto a team and begin to produce quickly. You should have a strong understanding of the design and implementation of software for DSP/SIGINT systems. We are looking for experience in code design, implementation, testing, analysis, and debugging. This position is located in New Mexico or an overseas location.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Fortran, C, C++, Python, Java
  • Direct applicable experience working in communications or SIGINT systems development and test
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (or 8+ years with a Graduate Degree)
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with X-Midas, M2Extra, and/or MATLAB is highly desired
  • Knowledge of communications systems theory with strengths in analog/digital modulation and demodulation
  • Knowledge of signal processing algorithms/techniques
  • Experience developing and/or optimizing geolocation algorithms
  • Proven ability to create SOPs, training materials, and job aids for government customers
  • Comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience or familiarity with AI/ML concepts and theories

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex problems using data-driven approaches, apply spatial and visual reasoning techniques, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders across the organization
  • Provide technical leadership for the development and improvement of Orbital Analyst prototype systems
  • Create operational procedures and develop comprehensive training materials for OA prototype systems
  • Maintain existing code baselines for orbital determination software systems
  • Deliver training sessions covering orbital analysis concepts, workflows, and emerging technologies
  • Represent the team in coordination meetings with mission partners and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to Program of Record documentation, ensuring orbital analysis expertise is thoroughly captured
  • Flexibility for occasional work beyond standard business hours and periodic travel as needed
