About The Position
6IX RINGS LLC is seeking reliable delivery drivers to deliver packages safely, focusing on working quickly and efficiently for both full-time and part-time positions. The role requires drivers to be available for at least one weekend day, with a preference for availability on both weekend days. Shifts are typically 8-10 hours long, starting at 9:50 AM, and are available seven days a week. The position is based at our distribution facility located in West Chicago, IL, where drivers will receive their van assignments based on the weekly schedule. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for arriving at the distribution facility on time, attending a morning stand-up meeting to discuss safety and company goals, and performing a thorough pre-trip vehicle inspection to check for any damage. You will be tasked with delivering up to 250+ packages on your assigned route, utilizing a smartphone or GPS device that has the complete route predetermined. It is essential to follow all delivery instructions as directed by customers and adhere to company procedures when in doubt. After completing your route, you will return the van to the station, hand back the smartphone/GPS scanner device and keys, and debrief with your manager. This position requires physical stamina, as you must be able to handle walking, lifting, bending, and stooping. You should be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs without assistance. A good driving record with no traffic violations is essential, and you must be able to operate a smartphone or GPS device with a scanner. The delivery area primarily covers Kane County and DuPage County, and fluency in English is required, with bilingual Spanish being a plus.
