About The Position

Are you someone who loves being on the go and making every day an adventure? Community Access Unlimited (CAU) is searching for a lively DSP Community to team up with a member who’s all about festivals, movies, art classes, summer swims, and community fun — plus sharing her amazing American Doll collection with anyone who’ll listen!

Requirements

  • At least 1 year working with people with developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and a safe driving record are must-haves!

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field preferred — or relevant hands-on experience

Responsibilities

  • Keep our program standards shining bright
  • Safeguard members’ health, safety, and wellbeing — including medication and medical needs
  • Protect and manage members’ finances with care
  • Support meaningful employment and fun recreation
  • Build positive, respectful staff/member relationships
  • Follow the Individual Support Plan (ISP)
  • Uphold quality through agency reviews and CARF compliance
  • Provide hands-on, heartfelt support to members
  • Keep records sharp and updated in CareLogic (our Electronic Health Record)
  • Check your CAU email regularly — stay in the loop!
  • Partner with agency staff and authorities during inspections or investigations
  • And pitch in with any other duties that pop up!
