About The Position

The Residential Program Specialist position is a Direct Support Professional role focused on providing support, supervision, and behavioral management to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities and significant behavioral/mental health issues. The role emphasizes fostering community access, building social and daily living skills, and ensuring the safety and independence of clients. Requirements

• Experience in caregiving or direct support roles.
• Knowledge of behavioral management techniques.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Training in crisis intervention techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and supervision to youth and adults with disabilities.
• Foster community access and build unpaid relationships.
• Assist in social and daily living skill building to achieve maximum independence.
• Manage medication and behavioral interventions, including physical interventions for safety.
• Collect and document thorough and accurate data on client progress.
