About The Position

The DSP-2 Respite Weekend Lead is responsible for supervision of the individuals served at TERI and implementation of any and all individualized schedules, learning, and behavior support plans; provision of active support; and assistance with health care and daily life skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
  • One year of related experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists individuals with self-care and activities of daily living, providing the appropriate level of support. Depending on the program, can include making meals, shopping, assisting clients with laundry and maintaining a clean and organized home or program.
  • Assures that choices are an integral part of a client/student’s day and assures that these are available; honors individual choice whenever possible based on safety and individual needs/restrictions.
  • Delivers individual program plans/goals and behavior support plans as designed; assures active support for all persons served.
  • Provides on-going training, supervision, and evaluation of facility staff and volunteers by providing feedback to facility staff promptly when needed.
  • Develops and/or completes necessary documentation, including, but not limited to: Skills Training Data Sheets, Communication Logs, Incident/Injury Reports, Special Incident Reports, Daily activity schedule, Behavior Support Charts, Medication documentation, and other forms of documentation as requested by supervisors.
