About the position
Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking a 1st Shift CDL Class A Driver. We are offering great benefits, stable work shifts, and a clean/welcoming work environment. Work where you matter! The position involves delivering products to Spring Glen Customers and providing a sales rep type relationship with customers. The driver will make DSD deliveries, conform to DOT/State/Federal laws, maintain all equipment in good working condition, and exhibit a professional image at all times. Additionally, the driver will back haul plant supplies as scheduled and is responsible for following food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as GMP's, food safety, product quality, food security, etc.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product to customers.
- Make pick-ups of raw materials.
- Maintain schedules as determined by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Check all freight for accuracy and document at every step.
- Complete all required paperwork daily and ensure it is neat and legible.
- Load and unload all freight.
- Maintain proper temperatures at all times on reefer units.
- Maintain DOT requirements as well as a safe driving record.
- Report condition of vehicle driven on proper forms.
- Report proper mileage driven daily.
- Adhere to common safety practices and procedures.
- Be willing and able to report to work on short notice as needed.
- Maintain image and assume responsibility as instructed and trained by the Supply Chain Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse and/or the Supply Chain Manager.
Requirements
- Must maintain a Class A driver's license.
