DSC Cage Cashier
About The Position
The DSC Cage Cashier provides excellent, efficient, and accurate cashier services to casino guests, maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. This role involves handling various monetary transactions such as cash exchange, check cashing, and other fund transfers. Key responsibilities include redeeming coupons, exchanging cash for TITO tickets and gaming chips, and accurately counting and balancing assigned banks at the end of each shift. The cashier is also responsible for logging controlled keys, maintaining their bank, equipment, and surrounding area, and recording currency transactions via computer. Additionally, the position acts as a soft count member and performs other assigned duties as necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
- One-year prior cage experience or equivalent cashier/money handling experience.
- Excellent customer service skills a must.
- Must obtain a Key Gaming License upon hire.
- Must be able to complete an employment drug test with a negative result.
- Will be totally accountable for an impress bank.
- Able to work all shifts (Day, Swing, Graveyard).
Nice To Haves
- Computer knowledge is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides casino guests with excellent cashier services efficiently and accurately while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. Services include cash exchange, check cashing, as well as other monetary transfer of funds.
- Redeems coupons, exchanges cash for TITO (Ticket In/Ticket Out) tickets, and gaming chips.
- Count and balance each assigned bank at the end of every shift with little to no assistance from others.
- Log Out/In Controlled keys.
- Responsible for maintaining their bank, equipment, and surrounding area.
- Record and balance currency transactions via computer.
- Acts as a soft count member.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or necessary.
