About The Position

Property Medics of Georgia is a Residential construction company whose main focus is on insurance related reconstruction. We currently have an immediate opening for a Drywall Finisher/ Painter. We are looking for self-motivated, team players who genuinely care about their workmanship. We are always busy and have steady work all year long. This is a great opportunity for long term employment with a professional, fast pace, and growing company. -Must be able to install and/or finish seamless drywall to include, but not limited to: Apply drywall to walls or ceilings. Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of building. Prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints. Smooth out imperfections. Measure, cut, fit, and fasten panels. Prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes in panels for electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing. Screw panels to wood or metal framework. Fill joints in-between panels with spackle. Use trowels to spread spackle. Press paper tape into compound. Smooth away excess material. Cover nail and screw depressions with spackle. Apply second and third coats of compound. Sand areas after each coast.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience working with drywall installation and painting preferred.
  • Must be proficient at painting (usually interior), with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Standard schedule is 40 hours or more a week, with possible overtime.
  • Must be self-motivated; works well individually.
  • Must be a team player; works well with team.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift a minimum 70lbs without assistance.
