About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Drywall Installer to join our construction team. We have 16 town houses in East Providence RI scheduled to begin drywall in mid-January. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing wallboards to ceilings and interior walls of buildings, preparing surfaces, and ensuring a smooth finish. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark cutting lines on drywall sheets.
• Cut drywall to the right size using hand and power tools.
• Fasten drywall panels to the inside framework of buildings using nails, screws, or adhesives.
• Prepare surfaces for drywall application by taping, mudding, and sanding joints and holes.
• Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
• Inspect drywall installations for quality and adherence to building codes.
• Work with other construction professionals such as electricians and plumbers to ensure proper placement.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear as required.
