The Drywall Installer is a temporary role supporting Plymouth properties by working to transform vacant apartments into move in ready spaces for our residents to call home. We are looking for someone who has experience with the installation and finishing of drywall, especially in a multi-family homes and apartment buildings. Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit organization that develops and operates permanent supportive housing for single adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. With apartment buildings throughout King County, Plymouth is helping the most vulnerable members of our community leave homelessness behind forever. At Plymouth, we’re not simply trying to get people off the streets. We provide supportive services like case management and health care so that our residents can thrive long-term. As part of our strategic vision, we are building internal behavioral health services and transforming our systems to address rapid growth and the changing needs of residents. What you can expect to be doing in this role at Plymouth housing Hanging, patching and repairing drywall Taping, mudding sanding and finishing drywall Drywall repair (water damage, cracks, general maintenance etc.) Perform drywall removal as necessary Some knowledge, skills, and attributes we need from you Proficiency in measuring, cutting, drilling, installing, and finishing drywall Comfortability with power tools (screw gun, saws, sander etc.) Light carpentry knowledge for prep work related to drywall install Ability to maintain professionalism on jobsites Ability to follow written instructions Capability to communicate and work effectively with a team. Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs Qualifications High school diploma, GED certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. 2-3 years experience with drywall installation, finishing and removal
