About The Position

The Commercial Drywall Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating costs associated with drywall installations for commercial buildings. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are competitively priced, profitable, and executed efficiently, leveraging expertise in construction materials, methods, and building codes.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a drywall estimator or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as OST (OnScreen Takeoff), QuickBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret drawings and specifications and accurately calculate material and labor costs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and bidding processes.

Responsibilities

• Utilize extensive knowledge and experience to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial drywall projects.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents.
• Analyze project requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates and bids.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, contracts, and other relevant documents.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to continuously improve estimating processes and methodologies.
