Join our company and be part of an innovative team that's First in Food. This position is responsible for operating the dryer with quality and efficiency and must adhere to USDA standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Forklift license
  • Ability to read and understand operating procedures.
  • Skills needed in performing basic math computations.
  • Be able to obtain a forklift license.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 60 lbs.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in noisy, dusty and warm environments.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good trouble shooting skills.
  • Must obtain LOTO, Confined Space, Respiratory training.
  • Able to work safely with chemicals.
  • Knowledge of Julian dates.
  • Ability to make decisions independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dryer with quality and efficiency.
  • To follow proper SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Oversee dryer packagers as to proper job performance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dryer room, sifter room, packaging room, staging and warehouse area.
  • Accurate SAP entries.
  • Accurate recording of gauge readings, moistures, and adjustments.
  • Responsible for correct Julian dates on packaging.
  • Minor maintenance required.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and Overtime.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of Man hour sheets for production and downtime.
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
