The Dryer Operator transports products from trim lines into dryers and from dryers into hoppers via barrels and totes. This position requires regular and reliable attendance, compliance with SOPs, GMPs, housekeeping, safety, and all other company policies. The operator is responsible for ensuring that barrels are filled properly to guarantee maximum drying efficiency per product specifications and operates various dryer apparatus. The role also involves following proper blending procedures, ensuring the correct product dries and is added to the correct hopper per the production schedule, and modifying machine settings as needed. The operator must keep the area clean and may be assigned to perform other tasks on a temporary basis. Active support of team members, participation in process improvement projects, and reporting any equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions are also essential duties. The working conditions include a cold atmosphere, wet surfaces, and moderate to high noise levels.
