Works closely with forklift operators.

Requirements

  • Must be a trained and authorized forklift driver.
  • Must be able to transfer veneer in an efficient, responsible, and highly organized manner.
  • Organization and time management skills are required.
  • Must be constantly aware of his/her surroundings.
  • Forklift operator communicates with others via face-to-face communication.
  • Work with little supervision.
  • Must be self-directed in identifying and efficiently completing each next task.

Responsibilities

  • Use forklift to load veneer onto the dryer infeed’s. Maintain flow of production.
  • Helps green end jitney driver as needed
  • Perform daily pre-operation inspections on the forklift
  • Stage units, remove production tags and stickers from units being loaded onto machine centers.
  • Make sure units coming off outfeed of dryer 2 are marked the correct grade before transport.
  • Scan tickets of units into associated barcoded bay for inventory purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned
