About The Position

The General Laborer position at PeopleReady involves performing a variety of tasks in different industries, primarily focused on drywall finishing. Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret design plans.

Responsibilities

• Reading design plans to provide minimal wallboard and avoid unnecessary waste of materials.
• Measuring and marking cutting lines on framing, drywall, and trim using tape measure, straightedge, or square.
• Identifying the exact locations of windows, electrical outlets, and plumbing, and cutting drywall or ceiling tile to fit precisely.
• Cutting drywall to the right size using utility knives and power saws.
• Fastening drywall panels to interior wall studs using nails or screws.
• Installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Filling joints, holes, and cracks with compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• Trimming and smoothing rough edges so boards join evenly without visual defects.
