About The Position

The overall responsibilities of a Dry Finisher include: General housekeeping and waste disposal throughout the shift. Collect and prepare materials as needed. Assist with stripping product from forms as needed. Read blueprints or shop tickets to identify finish types. (where applicable) Use various techniques such as grinding or patching to repair product. Clean plates, openings, and block-outs. Set up, use, and remove rigging to move product. Remove product from form and place on trailer using overhead crane. (where applicable) Assist with sandblasting and acid washing as needed. Operate various types of equipment such as hoists, overhead cranes, hand and power tools. Read shop tickets to determine dunnage usage and placement. (where applicable) Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of previous general construction experience preferred
  • Able to read a tape measure preferred
  • Able to use standard construction tools preferred
  • Able to operate a Boom Crane (where applicable)
  • Experience with finishing, patching, sandblasting, or acid washing concrete and/or working with stucco preferred
  • Able to work on a team
  • Highly dependable with strong work ethic
  • Able to understand, follow, and convey verbal instructions
  • Able to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
