About The Position

Shelby Materials is seeking a professional CDL A Truck Driver to join their team as a Pneumatic Tanker Driver. This role involves hauling cement and other bulk products locally. The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, delivery, and pneumatic unloading of dry bulk materials. Key aspects include completing inspections, maintaining clean equipment, communicating with dispatch and plant teams, and adhering to all safety procedures to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement; 1-year minimum experience
• Reliable, organized, and safety-minded with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to climb ladders, bend over, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform job duties required for loading/unloading.
• Ability to read and write in English, and complete basic math tasks
• Be at least 19 years old
• Possess and maintain a clean driving record
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and deliver dry bulk materials while ensuring that products are unloaded in the correct location, monitoring inventory levels as that is being done.
• Accurately complete all forms, tickets, and documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and plant managers daily to ensure that material demands are being met.
• Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and report any needed maintenance promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of assigned trucks and complete basic preventative maintenance tasks.
• Safely operate your assigned truck in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
