About The Position

BridgePhase is seeking a Drupal System Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will provide operational and administrative support for Drupal-based applications running in a cloud-hosted environment. This role focuses on maintaining platform stability, supporting deployments, and ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of mission-critical web systems. This is a remote position. As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile candidates who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of total professional experience supporting web applications, CMS platforms, or enterprise systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong experience administering Drupal (Drupal 8/9/10)
  • Experience with Linux system administration
  • Experience with web servers such as Apache or Nginx
  • Experience troubleshooting web application performance and operational issues
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
  • Familiarity with Git version control
  • Experience with database platforms such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of Drupal security practices and patch management
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments (AWS preferred)
  • Understanding of federal security compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST
  • Public trust clearance will be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing or recent DHS clearance is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for Drupal-based applications and supporting services
  • Support Tier 3 triage and remediation efforts for application and platform-related incidents
  • Troubleshoot Drupal application issues including module conflicts, configuration issues, and performance bottlenecks
  • Support CI/CD deployment activities and troubleshoot application deployment failures
  • Assist development teams with environment configuration and Drupal platform management
  • Manage Drupal configuration updates and environment synchronization
  • Monitor application logs and investigate operational issues affecting site performance
  • Support routine maintenance activities including patching Drupal core, modules, and dependencies
  • Coordinate incident response activities related to application availability or functionality
  • Support database-related tasks including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Ensure Drupal environments comply with federal security and audit requirements
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, deployment processes, and operational procedures
  • Support backup validation and disaster recovery procedures for Drupal environments
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps, development, and infrastructure teams to improve automation and operational efficiency
