Position Summary As a Drupal Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet user needs and business objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver robust, scalable solutions. This role involves leading the development process, from initial concept through deployment and post-launch support, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers. As a Drupal Developer, you will stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the application's performance and user experience.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Drupal and PHP development.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Expert proficiency in Drupal 8/9/10, including custom module and theme development.
Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
Experience with Drupal APIs, Drush, and Composer.
Understanding of DevOps practices, including version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Knowledge of usability/accessibility standards of user interface development to produce code compliant for Section 508 accessibility; experience working with development tools that aid in this process
Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies like AWS and Acquia
Depending on particular project assignments or roles, security clearance or background checks may be required at varying levels.
Complete required training as scheduled.
Ensure access and equipment are configured to begin and continue work.
Follow established procedures and guidelines.
Implement approved changes and communicate status to the PM/Department.
Support understanding and implementation of approved requirements as planned/scheduled.
Conduct and contribute to audits, resolve compliance gaps, Lessons Learned, and implement process improvements, as designated by the PM/Department Lead.
Analyze requested LOE changes, provide estimates, and update plans as assigned.
Evaluate work products/deliverables for technical accuracy and adherence to project requirements and standards.
Use SharePoint and document controls to follow established processes.
When assigned as author, complete document updates, initiate peer review, complete the review process, and ensure updates are made in accordance with that process.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement custom modules to extend Drupal functionality in line with project requirements.
Configure and theme Drupal sites to ensure a seamless, responsive user experience across all devices.
Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance application functionality and user experience.
Identify and implement performance improvements to ensure fast, efficient, and scalable Drupal applications.
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure alignment and a successful project outcome.
Collaborate with user experience, content strategy, product delivery, and non-technical program management teams.
Provide ad hoc support for general project planning and technical design: Support scheduling.
Ensure development alignment with formal process reviews.
Prepare and deliver testing-related presentations.
Support overall project execution as required: Assist in requirements definition.
Support design processes.
Assist in development and documentation processes.
Troubleshoot and help provide solutions to address bugs.
Work and refine backlog items to support ongoing deployments.
Work closely with the product owner and agile development team.
Experience with AI integrations in a secure setting
Ability to multitask and support development teams to ensure timely software development deliverables.
Demonstrate significant initiative, independence, ability to follow through, and interest in learning our business are essential.
