About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that the Cook Room and FVC are supplied with clean/sanitized drums, drum lids, lid locks, buckets, and bucket lids. This position is also responsible for ensuring that all Food Safety requirements are met and correct including all CCP's. This position is responsible for ensuring the proper chemicals are staged and in use for operation along with the daily operation of the use of the drum wash machine. Responsible for ensuring that all documentation is correct and accurate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Validation on position or machine will be required after initial training.
  • Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly with little supervision.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction, as well as basic math calculations.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work on all lines and perform all positions, including changeovers.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays/Sundays, as determined by business needs.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre inspection on drum wash machine and drum washroom.
  • Properly break down equipment and sanitize as needed.
  • Place proper chemicals needed in the drum wash room for use.
  • Follow all published SOP's.
  • Properly sets up area with proper pallets and keeps area organized.
  • Ensure clean drums are ready for use across FVC and Kitchen or where needed.
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris.
  • Adhere to all safety policies.
  • Immediately notify supervisor and QA of any food safety issue.
  • Request replenishment of chemicals when needed.
  • Operate and maintain equipment in operating order including startups, changeovers and adjustments.
  • Perform periodic quality checks as needed.
  • Communicate with the Kitchen Lead, FVC Lead, or FVC Supervisor to inform them of any deficiencies or issues.
  • Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical problems to ensure continuous operation.
  • Notify lead/supervisor to submit work orders for equipment repairs.
  • Wear all required PPE.
  • Inform Management of any food safety or quality issues.
