About The Position

Responsibilities may include collecting, disposing, and maintaining records of urine specimens; conducting drug screenings; maintaining the inventory of testing supplies and equipment testifying in court; reporting and documenting testing results; ensuring documentation procedures are done in accordance with policies and procedures; and providing training on testing result documentation. Starting salary: $31,474.16 per year Location: Lincoln, Nebraska

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.

Knowledge: Drug screening and chemical testing methodology. Safe work methods and procedures. Applicable testing equipment. Recordkeeping principles. Basic inventory management principles. Computers and related software applications.
Skills: Performing drug screening. Collecting applicable samples. Maintaining specimen records. Monitoring inventory and supply levels. Maintaining operational records. Using a computer and related software applications. Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Responsibilities

Greets clients, collects testing forms and accompanies to drug testing area.
Conduct drug screening in accordance with established systems and procedures using approved testing methodologies. This includes obtaining urine specimen from Probationers, recording, and reporting results.
Stores testing samples in secure location and ensures chain of custody procedures are observed at all times.
Maintains drug testing supplies and equipment inventory.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
