The Drug General Merchandise Clerk at Kroger is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Monitor established quality assurance standards.
• Encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate the company's core values.
• Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of Drug GM specials and recommend items.
• Review 'sell by' dates and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures.
• Practice preventive maintenance and notify management of repair needs.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report safety risks, illegal activity, and conflicts in a reasonable manner.
• Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
