About The Position

The Drug Free Workplace Care Manager provides Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT regulated clients with substance abuse case-management services including supportive consultation, guidance, and referral assistance to individuals testing positive during routine or random drug and alcohol screenings. This role oversees employees’ compliance with all requirements resulting from a positive drug test and provides coordination and liaison for agencies and resources. Coordination may include, as appropriate, inpatient and outpatient treatment monitoring, client and provider contacts, notification to the agency and Medical Review Officer, aftercare plan review, and return-to-work process. The Care Manager serves as the primary clinician supporting the Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) to include client intake, case management, and agency coordination. Additionally, the role provides crisis intervention services and linkage to resources for the appropriate level of care, including community resources. The Care Manager is responsible for providing education to callers regarding EAP benefits, including vendor resources and website features, and must maintain real-time documentation to meet qualitative and quantitative performance expectations. Adherence to all performance standards, meetings, trainings, standard operation procedures, and company policies is required. The position also involves maintaining call standards necessary to provide intake, consultation, and follow-up, demonstrating flexibility in job duties and schedule to aid in providing quality customer service and building a high-performance team. Mentoring team members and participating in activities to help build a high-performing team is also part of the role. The Care Manager maintains a caseload of DFWP clients, performs multi-step administrative tasks, and efficiently handles multiple demands at once. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a behavioral health related field.
  • Current licensure that meets State, Commonwealth or customer-specific requirements.
  • Minimum of 7+ years post-degree clinical counseling experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in substance abuse assessment and counseling.
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
