The position involves conducting Trainee Employee Assistance Program assessments, developing intervention plans, and making referrals for identified students. The role includes developing, implementing, and facilitating Trainee Employee Assistance Program prevention groups and programs. The candidate will provide counseling, relapse prevention, and prevention education, while networking with center staff and community agencies to provide support services to students. Participation in the department system for student feedback and concerns is also required. Additionally, the candidate will assist in developing center operating procedures for program components and work with the Center Mental Health Consultant, Center Physician, Health Services staff, and other designated staff to ensure intervention components are fully understood and integrated in the center. The role also involves working with the Recreation Department to assist in developing leisure activities and incentives to reinforce the Trainee Employee Assistance Program lifestyle. The candidate will act as a liaison to the Center Mental Health Consultant and Center Standards Officer for Trainee Employee Assistance Program issues, perform quality assurance record audits, maintain Trainee Employee Assistance Program statistics for quarterly reporting to the Department of Labor, and ensure compliance with chain of custody procedures. Support for the Center Tobacco Use Prevention Program through education and training is also part of the responsibilities, along with other duties as assigned.
