Requirements

  • Ability to work in environments with regular chemical exposure while strictly following all safety protocols.
  • Ability to interpret MSDS's and understand Hazardous Identification System.
  • Ability to frequently move, lift pails and bags up to 60 lbs. using proper equipment and lifting techniques.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (including mules and hand trucks) to move materials, products, drums, and pallets in a responsible manner.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist production operations, including packaging components and shrink-wrapping finished products.
  • Fill and package raw materials weighing up to 40 lbs. per unit.
  • Monitor and adjust product weights on production lines using scales.
  • Clean machines, mixers, and equipment to maintain operational standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of packaging supplies and notify the supervisor of reordering needs.
  • Maintain department housekeeping by keeping work areas clean and orderly, using appropriate cleaning materials (e.g., solvents, scrapers, brushes).
  • Support process optimization efforts by reporting issues, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities to the supervisor.
  • Rework returned goods or follow proper disposal procedures as required.
  • Serve as a backup formulator when needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required to assist team members to reach product and quality goals.
  • Actively participate in the STOP Card safety program.
  • Promote, support and adhere to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures.
