About The Position

The Drop Ship Specialist manages the profitability, setup, takedown, and maintenance of drop ship styles for an assigned vendor base. This role facilitates communication between the vendor and buying teams for the DSW business. The position is hybrid, requiring presence in the Columbus, OH office.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of merchandising department workflow, merchandise systems (Jesta), and vendor catalogs (GXS/SPS)
• Maintains productivity standards set forth by Drop Ship Manager
• Knowledgeable of standard retail metrics
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to convey strong sense of urgency
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment, while prioritizing work effectively
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, follow through to resolve issues quickly & mitigate recurrence
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Must possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Highly collaborative, fosters strong working relationships across internal business partners & external vendors

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years in a Digital or Merchandising role preferred
• 1-2 years in Vendor Management preferred

Responsibilities

• Validates drop ship assortment templates provided by the vendor and manages the end-to-end process from style set up to takedown
• Operates as a liaison between internal buying teams and external vendor partners regarding the execution and communication of drop ship style maintenances
• Completes profitability assessment and competitive pricing analysis to ensure all drop ship styles meet gross profit requirements and pricing is aligned with market
• Partners with cross-functional teams (Buying, Product Services, Pricing, Online Merchandising, Vendor) to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
• Monitors site status of drop ship styles in progress and partners with vendor and internal teams to address delays
• Analyzes drop ship sales for designated categories to help inform assortment prioritization and actions to improve results
• Demonstrates a willingness to take on ad-hoc projects to support drop ship growth initiatives
