About The Position

This is a supervisory position that involves managing a department and providing input on hiring and performance decisions. The supervisor is responsible for the integrity of uncounted gaming proceeds until they are transferred to the Main Vault. The work environment has moderate exposure to second-hand smoke, loud noise, and other environmental factors. The role requires physical exertion, including standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The supervisor may also be required to travel to other properties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • At least one year of experience in both drop and count or previous leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong supervision skills and leadership qualities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic office equipment and computer programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License and/or an Oklahoma Horse Racing License.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to be on call and work high-volume days, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all aspects of the Drop and Count team and processes for assigned properties.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission (CNGC), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), and company policies.
  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and manage department personnel, including writing and delivering corrective action.
  • Maintain daily reports for Accounting and Gaming Operations management.
  • Coordinate drop schedules with casino operations and cage management.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all drop and count equipment, performing minor adjustments and troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Manage the department's budget, focusing on operating expenses and overtime.
  • Fill in for Drop Count Associates as needed to cover call-ins, scheduling conflicts, or staffing shortages.
