About The Position

The Sales Development Manager is a VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) NEW BUSINESS hunter! Accountable to understand VFD, industrial controls, and automation systems within the Light Industry markets defined as industrial Machinery, Food & Beverage, Tooling, Material Handling, Automotive, Industrial water and irrigation. Coming with the ability to understand any company's complex matrix and create a tailored go to market strategy. Collaborating closely with your Danfoss colleagues to find the right solution to each customer's problem. The successful SDM acts as the liaison and possesses the right combination of people skills and industry background to deliver the best value and experience to our customers. You'll be responsible for the entire sales cycle from opportunity identification and development, thru proposal generation or quoting and closing.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
  • Min 5 years' front line Industry experience selling to End Users, OEMs, Integrators in Automation and Electrical Equipment, preferably with Variable Frequency Drive background.
  • Familiar with CRM tools, Salesforce is preferred.
  • Network of customers within the selected Industry is preferred.
  • Understanding of the Variable Frequency Drive, industrial automation, and Motion Control market is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fueling growth by focusing on new large and strategically important customers, including large Industrial OEMs, Engineering Firms (EPCs) and System Integrators.
  • Indirect leadership of cross functional taskforce approach to onboard new customers of scale.
  • Key collaboration with a strong Sales, Marketing, Service, Product Management & Development, Supply Chain and Application Development Centre infrastructures.
  • Ability to demonstrate select vertical expertise - talk the customer's talk to build trust and confidence.
  • Develop sustainable cross functional relationships between Danfoss and customer to secure long term partnerships.
  • Well versed in OPEX and CAPEX strategies.
  • Lead 'WIN ROOM' activities: leveraging different internal stakeholders to bring in dream accounts.
  • Keep Salesforce records up to date regarding new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Channel Sales Team to find the right solutions for our customers.
