About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students on safe driving practices, traffic laws, and vehicle operation. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom environment effectively. The Driving Instructor will work with a diverse group of students, helping them gain the confidence and skills necessary to become safe, responsible drivers.

Responsibilities

• Educate students on driving techniques, traffic regulations, and safety protocols through both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment while addressing any behavioral issues.
• Communicate clearly with students to provide constructive feedback and guidance during driving practice sessions.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods as necessary to meet individual needs.
• Prepare students for written and practical driving examinations by providing thorough instruction and practice opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.

Requirements

• Must have held a Colorado driver's license with no suspensions for at least 3 consecutive years.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Strong ability to educate students in both theoretical and practical aspects of driving.
• Proficient in classroom management techniques to create an engaging learning atmosphere.
• Experience working with students of varying ages and backgrounds in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to drive safely and teach others how to operate vehicles responsibly.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with adult education principles is a plus, as it enhances the learning experience for mature students.
