As a Driver at Recology Humboldt County, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and effective operation of assigned vehicles while ensuring the consistent application of safety and operational procedures. This position requires a commitment to maintaining good customer relations and positively influencing the community's perception of the company. You will be responsible for performing daily routine safety checks and pre-trip inspections on your assigned vehicle, ensuring that all safety measures are applied consistently and efficiently. Operating the vehicle in all assigned service areas in a timely manner is essential, as is loading all assigned materials according to normal operating procedures. You will also be tasked with reporting any violations to your supervisor and ensuring that hazardous materials are not accepted whenever possible. Compliance with legal load limits is critical, and you will need to report all accidents and safety violations to the appropriate authority in a timely manner. This role is under limited supervision, and you will be expected to maintain a high level of productivity while working under pressure and in various weather conditions.
