Requirements

• Current Class B license with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record required.
• Three years of recent experience as a commercial driver.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English to understand instructions and communicate effectively with residents.
• Ability to read maps and follow directions, demonstrating a good sense of direction.
• Basic knowledge of auto mechanics, including adding oil, checking tire pressure, and adding air and water.

• Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare environment.
• Bilingual abilities to communicate with a diverse resident population.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to appointments and conduct day trips, including scenic drives.
• Operate vehicles safely and effectively to minimize the risk of injury or property damage.
• Follow Department of Transportation regulations and traffic laws, including random drug screening.
• Check schedule books at the reception desk daily for trips, determine activity destinations, and obtain directions and special instructions.
• Monitor residents as they get on and off vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Greet each resident promptly for their trip and provide assistance as needed.
• Perform any additional functions or duties as directed by Supervisory Staff/Management.
