The Driver position at Baywood Court is essential for ensuring the safe transportation of residents to various destinations, enhancing their well-being and providing a positive experience. This full-time role requires a service-minded individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of seniors in a modern, active, and not-for-profit senior living community.

Transport residents to appointments and conduct day trips, including scenic drives.
Operate vehicles safely and effectively to minimize the risk of injury or property damage.
Follow Department of Transportation regulations and traffic laws, including random drug screening.
Check schedule books at the reception desk daily for trips, determine activity destinations, and obtain directions and special instructions.
Monitor residents as they get on and off vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Greet each resident promptly for their trip and provide assistance as needed.
Perform any additional functions or duties as directed by Supervisory Staff/Management.

Current Class B license with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record required.
Three years of recent experience as a commercial driver.
Ability to read, speak, and write in English to understand instructions and communicate effectively with residents.
Ability to read maps and follow directions, demonstrating a good sense of direction.
Basic knowledge of auto mechanics, including adding oil, checking tire pressure, and adding air and water.

Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare environment.
Bilingual abilities to communicate with a diverse resident population.
