About The Position

Main responsibility is driving and delivering locally. Must have at least a chauffeur's license. Verify and keep records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing related duties. Delivers product to customers. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for safely driving box truck and delivering products to various locations/customers. Inspect vehicle for mechanical and safety issues, perform routine maintenance checks. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Inspect product prior to packaging for any defects. Build crates to fit product. Crate product properly (by customer pack specs when applicable). Attach identifying tags to outside container. Load truck with product. Pull parts from stock for shipping. Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area. Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects. Demonstrate safe work habits. Maintain current, overall, and job specific training and requirements. Ensure confidentiality of all records. Other duties as assigned. SAFE PRACTICE GUIDELINES / REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Safety glasses with side shields as required Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required Earplugs as required Seat belts required on all forklifts QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Detail Oriented and highly organized Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated Forklift License (company provided) Valid Chaffeur’s license required Must be able to pass DOT physical High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
