Requirements
- Requires a valid State of Illinois CDL Class A Driver’s License with Air Brake certification.
- Must have a clean driving record and meet all requirements of the company insurer.

Responsibilities
- Make pick-ups and deliveries.
- Checks or assists in the loading or unloading of trucks.
- Check quantities of goods received, obtain proper paper work for goods delivered or received.
- Maintains current State driver’s license for type of truck being operated.
- Must meet all State and Federal licensing and physical requirements.
- Drives truck to destination.
- Loads/Unloads materials or assists in same manually or by use of manual material mover or motorized industrial truck.
- Signs shipping documents to verify quantity and quality of materials.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Performs "minor" operational needs such as gasoline refill, washing windows, etc.
- Reports "major" maintenance needs to Supervisor.
- Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
- Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
- All other duties as assigned
