About The Position

Seeking a full time weekend Driver to support our Food service department at Oro Valley Hospital working out of our Transitions building on the Northwest Medical Center campus. Please apply if you are willing to support our food service department with other assigned duties that include dish washing, sanitation, and serving food. Work schedule: Thursday, 12:30pm - 6:30pm, Friday - Sunday, 6am - 630pm. We know it's not just about finding a job. This position supports operational and patient service functions while ensuring strict adherence to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a driving, delivery, or courier role preferred
  • Familiarity with local traffic laws, roadways, and vehicle safety standards.
  • Ability to operate various types of vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Strong time management and route planning skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items safely, including assisting individuals with mobility challenges.
  • Clear verbal communication and professional interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accountability in maintaining logs, reports, and safety documentation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing assignments or conditions.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required

Responsibilities

  • Operates a facility vehicle to transport passengers, cargo, supplies, specimens, or other items as assigned.
  • Assists passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility aids, ensuring safe transfers when necessary.
  • Follows all applicable traffic laws, organizational policies, and driving protocols to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Conducts routine pre- and post-trip facility vehicle inspections and promptly reports any maintenance issues or damage.
  • Maintains cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle to ensure operational readiness.
  • Utilizes route planning and navigation tools to determine efficient paths to destinations.
  • Accurately logs mileage, trip details, fuel usage, and any incidents in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Supports loading and unloading of items, ensuring materials are properly secured during transit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
