Driver
About The Position
The primary purpose of this position is provide transportation via motor vehicle to patients, and/or staff, to destinations such as doctor appointments, shopping centers or other locations, as directed by the Facilities Manager, in a safe and timely manner, adhering to strict time schedules. May provide services such as baggage handling, assistance to special needs passengers and other associated tasks. Follows verbal, written, or electronic directions to destinations. Complies with transportation laws and regulations at all times. This is a full-time position with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday 7:30am-3:30pm.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License.
- Proven experience in transportation management.
- Knowledge of safety protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in medical or substance abuse field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Transport residents and visitors
- Performs daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety
- Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and management regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
