About The Position

• Provides students with timely and efficient student transportation services as required. • Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL/Company requirements. • May be assigned to assist in other departments as required. • Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary. • Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor. • Maintains the care, cleanliness, and upkeep of the Center’s vehicles. • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. • Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior. • Ensures that only authorized students are transported on and off Center. • Keeps accurate log of students transported off of and returned to Center. • Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills. • Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property. • Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility. • Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning. • Attends all required staff training opportunities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience working with youth.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger and air brake endorsements with an acceptable driving record.
  • With possession of Valid Driver’s License, CDL requirement may be temporarily waived if individual can obtain valid CDL with endorsements within ninety days of hire date.
