About The Position

The Pharmacy Delivery Driver is responsible for prompt, safe and professional delivery of our medication shipments to local clients. The shift is Monday-Friday 4:30pm-8:30pm. Responsibilities of the Delivery Driver include the following: Practice safe, professional and attentive driving practices Deliver medication orders or other supplies to Matrix VIP’s customers on scheduled routes or as needed. Ensure safe storage and transport of all deliveries while they are in the possession of the Pharmacy Driver. Only deliver products to designated or appropriate personnel at Matrix VIP’s business customers (or adults at residential customer locations) Removal of garbage from facility to dumpster area as required. General cleaning and maintenance of facility as required. Perform automotive safety checklist (daily and weekly) Be available for on-call deliveries on the weekend according to schedule provided by supervisor. Obtain signed manifests for all deliveries and ensure return all of manifests to the pharmacy. Within working hours, the Pharmacy Driver is only to drive to customer locations and along routes specified by their manager unless given permission otherwise. Report back immediately to the pharmacy any incidents that arise while performing deliveries. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer. Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and clinicians. While at the pharmacy, perform other duties as directed by the pharmacist including but not limited to: Cleaning and organizing of the office and pharmacy Moving and sorting of packages for shipment staging as required Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance. Complete mileage/expense reports for all deliveries (subject to manager approval) Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the pharmacy’s policies and ‘’best practices’’. Assist in resolving customer concerns and complaints when applicable. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies. Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy. Physical Requirements The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions in this job description: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear. The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.
