About The Position

Delivery Drivers' primary responsibility is to deliver sandwiches to customers in the designated delivery area. Drivers are expected to check all products for accuracy against quality standards and deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. While not on the road, Drivers work as In Shoppers and are compensated accordingly. Delivery is a customer service job, so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days. This Franchisee is an affiliate of several entities which independently own and operate Jimmy John’s Sandwiches franchise locations. Our company is based in Illinois, operating 100+ Jimmy John’s stores in 7 states (Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin) and we are continuing to grow with new store development and acquisitions. Requirements

• Must be able to communicate, read, and write the English language fluently and clearly.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Current automobile insurance.
• A clean driving record.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Inshopper tasks while not on a delivery.
• Know your schedule, arrive on time or if you are going to be late, call your manager before your scheduled start time.
• Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets in a courteous and timely manner.
• Delivers sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner in established delivery area only.
• Accepts payment from customers for orders and provides correct change without cash handling errors.
• Works with management at the end of the shift to reconcile cash from delivery sales, including accepting tips, DMR, and confirming miles driven for the shift based on the current systems in place.
• Fills out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity.
• Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with Jimmy John's Dress Code.
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
• Displays a sense of urgency in all tasks.
• Learning the most efficient route.
• Double checking orders to ensure everything is accounted for.
• Hustling on your feet (while always being safe and law abiding while on the street).
• Following customer's request and doing it with a smile.
