About The Position

The Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients and their personal belongings, medication, and appropriate documentation to specific locations as identified. Key job duties include ensuring the timely pick up of children, providing a friendly, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for children while in transit, and providing on-time arrival for all transports. This position must have compassion for and desire to work with kids in the foster care system. The Driver is also responsible for utilizing car safety seats for infants and children according to designated standards. Additional responsibilities include monitoring/documenting the child’s behavior/activities while in transit, maintaining/completing all required forms and written reports, and also exhibiting a high level of courtesy and professionalism. This position serves as a mandated reporter of suspected abuse/neglect.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or higher level of education and previous work experience demonstrating competency in serving children and families. An associate degree in the human services field can serve in lieu of experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check, and physical and drug screening.
  • This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
