About The Position

This part-time Driver position in Warren, MI, involves operating a delivery van/truck, managing loading and unloading, and handling cash payments according to company procedures. The role requires adherence to preset delivery routes, efficient truck organization, and completion of delivery run paperwork. Responsibilities also include routine vehicle maintenance checks, reporting incidents to management, and maintaining positive customer relations during deliveries. Additionally, the driver will support the Warehouse Support team with tasks such as stocking, processing, verifying product accuracy against invoices, and general warehouse upkeep. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively, possess a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, and commit to ongoing safety training.

Requirements

Able to collaborate and communicate with other work teams
Detail oriented for processing customer orders
At least two years of retail, logistics, or warehouse experience required
Maintain a clean driving record
Have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Drive delivery van/truck
Load/unload vehicle
Collect payments from COD customer (cash, check) and following company cash processing procedures
Alert salespersons/office of customer concerns or order discrepancies
Follow preset delivery route
Organize truck to ensure ease of delivery and unloading
Close delivery run by checking into the office to review invoices, payments, and trip sheets
Maintain vehicle; oil checks, refueling, etc.
Inform management of vehicle maintenance needs
Alert leadership of accidents/tickets
Ability to work independently and in a small team
Maintain a clean driving record
Have a valid driver’s license
Complete ongoing safety training; never drive impaired
Customer relations when delivering orders
Assist Warehouse Support team with assorted stocking or processing tasks
Check outgoing product, for accuracy, against the customer invoice
Straighten boxes, sweep floors, remove trash as needed
Additional tasks as assigned by leadership
