Singer Equipment Company, the largest food-service equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic region, is hiring an experienced CDL B Driver to join our Elverson, PA warehouse team.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Work a varied schedule to fulfill delivery of product/equipment to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings.)
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, reach, squat and bend during an assigned shift.
  • Possess and maintain a CDL Class B License
  • Clean driving history
  • Pass DOT Medical and Physical Examination and other clearances
  • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
  • Basic Math/Reading Skills
  • 6 months driving (Class B) experience required
  • Able to follow predetermined routing/directions
  • Works well in a team environment and with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Deliver, assemble and set heavy equipment at customer locations.
  • Drive/operate box trucks to transport orders between customer locations.
  • Manually handle equipment from pallets and load to hand truck or pallet jack to transport customer orders into the facility.
  • Communicate with customers and/or supervisor using handheld devices
  • Acts as a direct line to supervisors/coordinators for any challenges in the field.
  • Conduct daily inspection of truck prior to departure.
  • Perform tasks in a safe manner and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Proactively identify and report workplace hazards.
  • Use of hand and power tools, heavy lifting equipment
  • Assist with warehouse activities when a delivery route is not scheduled
