The Driver/Transporter is responsible for assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transportation continuum. Job Duties/Responsibilities Provides transportation for patients to and from the hospital. Coordinates patient pick-up and drop-off routes, completes daily mileage log, ensures all safety measures are adhered to in the vehicle. Ensures non-medical ambulance operations while demonstrating excellent driving judgment and due regard for public safety and positioning of the vehicle. Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current standards of transportation, including mapping, street and grid book systems.
