About The Position

The Driver role at Brenntag, a global distributor of chemicals and ingredients, involves performing pre/post trip inspections, adhering to DOT traffic laws and hours of service rules, and handling the loading and unloading of various materials such as totes, drums, equipment, and tanks. Responsibilities also include completing shipping paperwork, delivering products to unmanned locations, and operating a forklift. The company emphasizes safety and requires the driver to wear appropriate PPE, lift and chain the truck when necessary, and be prepared for flexible hours, including weekends. Requirements

  • Truck driving experience
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
  • Good driving record
  • Be able to pass drug screening and physical and human performance test
  • 2 years of driving experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Better than average written and spoken communication skills

  • GED or High School Diploma

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre/post trip inspections on truck
  • Obey traffic laws and hours of service rules per DOT
  • Load/unload totes, drums, equipment, and tanks on truck
  • Complete shipping paperwork
