About The Position

As a Driver you will be responsible for providing patient transportation services. May provide assistance in processing admissions. Essential Duties Include: Provide local transportation including, but not limited to, courier runs between the facilities. Provide patient transportation to and from the airport, appointments and meetings. Practices safe driving, obeying all traffic laws. Performs routine vehicle checks before using the vehicle. May perform admission duties in the absence of the Transportation Supervisor / Admission Clerk. Ability to converse in English with others to give, take and process information; extensive use of telephone. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, multi-task, coordinate projects and record/transcribe general and specific meeting minutes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Communicate with other staff to relay concerns and observations involving patient safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
• Valid Arizona State Drivers License with an excellent driving record
• Must be 21 years of age

Nice To Haves

• Previous transportation experience in a healthcare setting preferred
