About The Position

Dynalectric Company San Diego is hiring a Driver. The position will be responsible for ensuring that materials and tools are delivered to the job site, safely and in a quality manner. Items will be delivered, picked up after completion and returned to the warehouse. This individual must have the ability to support field supervisors and maintain positive communication with Field Foremen and Warehouse Manager. #dynsd #LI-onsite #LI-AE1

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a driver.
  • Required to enroll with the union.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to pass drug screen.
  • Able to learn and operate company’s tools and handling material.
  • Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, professionalism and commitment to company values
  • Must have ability to build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, customers and partners and to influence employees in a positive and honest manner
  • Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, effectively in the English language
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of tools a plus
  • Ability to operate power equipment including forklift.
  • Knowledge of San Diego and Orange County a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains class C Driver’s license and clean MVR record
  • Responsible for properly securing loads
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating, truck condition.
  • Drives truck to assigned destination
  • Assist workers in unloading and loading truck when required
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence
  • Fills work orders, or request for materials, tools or other stock items
  • Maintains inventory records
  • Receive deliveries
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle and warehouse housekeeping
  • Must be able to work a 40 hour work week, with occasional overtime
  • Follows all traffic laws, is courteous to other drivers, and understands the importance of representing the company and providing a positive image of the company.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Performs other duties as required.
