About The Position

Responsible for the transportation of persons served and staff to various destinations in a number of states, including PA, MI, WV, DE and OH. This primarily involves transporting persons served and/or staff both On and Off Campus for health-related appointments, court appearances and hearings, family visitation (funerals, home passes, day passes), admissions, discharges, and other needs as they arise. The Driver is responsible for the person served’s safety and well-being while under the Driver’s supervision, including, but not limited to medication transport and administration. Drivers may be scheduled for a combination of both On Campus and Off Campus transports/tasks depending on the needs of the agency and the persons served.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to safely operate a motor vehicle
• Driver’s license background checks

Responsibilities

• Transport persons served on and off campus as required
• Maintain safety and security during trips
• Communicate with auto shop as needed related to vehicle issues
• Operates vehicle with due regard to all applicable laws and regulations
• Follow all agency policies and procedures
• Maintain professionalism at all times
