About The Position

Responsibilities include driving to the production facility to pick up newspapers and delivering to designated distribution centers, loading and unloading newspaper bundles and/or pallets of newspapers. Verifying publications at pick-up and drop-off locations, counting, stacking, and sorting multiple newspapers. This shift is Friday through Monday from 4:00PM to 11:00PM. The role involves driving a company-owned van between the Chico distribution center, Concord printing facility, and Red Bluff distribution center, as well as occasional driving to other company locations. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for cleaning and organizing the distribution center. The Chico Enterprise-Record, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group, is a daily newspaper connecting readers in Chico, California, and throughout Butte County with essential local news. Requirements

• Clean DMV report
• Ability to bend and lift bundles weighing up to 25 lbs. each
• Rudimentary knowledge of computer applications, printing, and scanning
• Must be willing to submit and pass the necessary required checks
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Have reliable transportation
• Must be available for shift work
