About The Position

Motivate is looking for Seasonal, Part-time Drivers (30 hours a week) to operate vehicles to replace batteries for New York’s bikeshare system for morning shifts. Both week and weekend day work requirements,10-hour work shifts. Please note that schedules are subject to change as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and for business need. About the Role Drive a company vehicle (sprinter or cargo van) throughout the bike share system to switch out batteries, bringing the depleted batteries to the depot to be recharged, following your assigned route Load and unload materials and batteries from vehicles Perform pre/post trip inspections for every vehicle trip, report vehicle issues to management, and clean vehicle as necessary Follow safe driving and work practices and adhere to all workplace policies Communicate with dispatch/management throughout shift

Requirements

You have a valid driver's license and can pass a motor vehicle record check
You are proficient with using a smart phone with apps
You are comfortable driving, maneuvering, stopping, and working in busy, urban outdoor environments
You are dependable and follow an assigned schedule
You follow instructions, ask questions, and request feedback to improve performance
You can lift up to 75 pounds; push/pull heavy loads on a wheeled cart, stoop, bend, kneel, sit or stand for long periods of time
